The Arcadian Kicks:

The Arcadian Kicks are co-managed by Jon Brookes (from The Charlatans) and they recorded their self financed debut album in early 2010 which was produced & mixed by Mike Chapman (Blondie's legendary producer of Parallel Lines, Eat To The Beat and Auto American amongst many other hit artists).

Mike Chapman : "I can honestly say that making this record was right up there with the best work I've done. Any time you get to work with kids who have their kind of skills, you are reminded on a daily basis of why you got into this business in the first place. I love these kids!!"

The Arcadian Kicks released their debut single, "19 Days", in August 2010 on One Beat Records via EMI.

For a new band it received a great reaction at radio and picked up plays on BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, Kerrang and many other regional stations.

The promo video for “19 Days” can be viewed here.

Off the back of this profile boost they were awarded the prestigious “Band of the Week” in UK national newspaper, The Independent. View the article here.

To build interest in the single the band went on a UK tour to support the single climaxing at the Wychwood and Isle Of Wight Festivals, T in the Park (BBC Introducing Stage) & Napa Live Festival in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.

Footage of the band playing T in the park was shown on BBC2 Scotland and three of the songs were made available to view on the BBC Iplayer. You can view a track here called “I Can’t Sleep.” (This song was released on the Strummerville charity compilation album for Jail Guitar Doors project, "Breaking Rocks").

Over 3 years the band have built up their own club night in Birmingham called The Syndicate, which took place at The Sound Bar. It attracted big crowds and quality guest bands from around the country such as Marner Brown, Poppy & the Jezebels, The Ruling Class, Tantrums and The Lines.

You can go to band’s Myspace or Facebook pages to check out photos, up and coming gigs and also view a BBC feature about The Arcadian Kicks which was shown on the primetime news programme, Midlands Today in March 2010 which includes interviews with the band & Mike Chapman plus some live footage. Throughout 2011 The Arcadian Kicks wrote brand new new material which they have recorded at Eve's Studio, Stockport in Autumn with Mike Chapman producing again.

Their comeback single is in January 2012 and they will once again tour the UK.
